Background
I am a licensed clinical psychologist who works with people across the lifespan. My background includes working as a clinician in a group private practice and at an outpatient community mental health clinic. I have provided short-term and long-term counseling services, crisis intervention, psychological testing, and consultation. I am trained in child-directed play therapy and have worked with children with anxiety, depression, and behavioral issues, as well as those going through major life changes, such as parents’ divorce. I have also worked extensively with adults who have experienced complex and/or acute trauma, as well as those struggling with relationship issues, depression, and anxiety.
I earned a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at The George Washington University. As part of my doctoral training, I completed an internship and an externship at The Psychiatric Institute of Washington. In addition, I completed externships at a community mental health clinic and at a preschool for children who were in transitional housing or foster care.
Prior to becoming a clinical psychologist, I worked in elementary education. I have a BA in English with a Women’s and Gender Studies concentration from Williams College and a master’s in education from Bank Street College of Education.
